Your report is built using a map of where the Sun, Moon, and other celestial bodies were at the moment you were born. To calculate that map accurately we need to know the date, time and place of your birth. We pay particular attention to a small minor planet called Chiron — its placement has long been associated with our earliest wounds. The myth of Chiron is behind the idea of a 'core wound' itself.
We're not asking you to believe in astrology - that the position of planets at your birth determine your life. We use it the way Jung used myth and symbol: as a language for noticing patterns, not a claim about fate.
We use AI to help build the Core Wound report. When you submit your birth details, the app does all the astronomical calculations to accurately work out where the planets were when you were born. We give the AI these details and we build a detailed set of instructions about how to use that information. Report text is generated using Anthropic’s claude-opus-5 model.
We deliberately limit what gets sent to the AI. Think of it as a one-way window: the AI receives enough to write your report, but not your name, email, or the birth details you supply.
The AI does not browse the internet, look up your social media posts, read your email, or access anything on your phone or computer. It cannot go searching for you elsewhere online because it doesn’t know who you are. It only sees the specific information we put into that one request — nothing more.
